WE DEMAND THE END OF THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC!
The Islamic Republic is a dictatorship and a state of injustice.
None of its institutions are democratically legitimized by the Iranian people.
Since its founding, its ideology has been based on the arrest, torture, oppression, extortion and murder of any opposition at home and abroad.
One year ago today, on September 16, 2022, Mahsa Amini died just before her 23rd birthday, after being forcibly detained by the morality police in Tehran. Her death sparked demonstrations across the country against the Islamic Republic. They continue in various forms to this day.
Repeatedly, peaceful demonstrators have been shot at with live ammunition, including many minors. Thus, this state has irretrievably lost its right to represent the Iranian people. To show their protest, on the anniversary of Mahsa Amini's death, people in Iran and in many cities around the world are taking to the streets.
We all demand the end of the Islamic Republic.
European foreign policy toward the Islamic Republic mainly relates to the nuclear agreement. In the negotiations surrounding the nuclear agreement, neglecting the precarious human rights situation in Iran, an attempt is being made to sign an agreement with dubious content and unclear temporal validity over the repressive regime on the backs of the oppressed Iranian population. For the Islamic Republic, these long-standing and tough negotiations are nothing more than a stalling tactic to buy time to push ahead with its nuclear program and thus further threaten its neighbors and the entire region on a massive scale and plunge them into chaos.
A new generation, especially of courageous women, is speaking out and loudly demanding their AUTONOMY and FREEDOM. A large part of the people who today take to the streets at the risk of their lives belong to this new generation. These mostly young people have finally lost their faith in the regime, its lies and empty promises and know that they will have no future under the current rulers. This generation, where women have clearly taken on a leadership role, is modern, enlightened, Western-oriented, peace-loving and, above all, courageous. It is ready to take its future into its own hands and to fight for a self-determined and free life, and to die if necessary. European foreign policy should rely on this revolutionary generation, which wants to shape the future of Iran after the Islamic Republic. Europe should reach out to this generation in order to secure peace and stability in the region, but above all for Europe.
OUR DEMANDS TO THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC
THE IMMEDIATE RESIGNATION OF THE LEADER OF THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC AND THE ENTIRE POLITICAL SYSTEM
The supreme leader of the Islamic Republic, who has ruled the country for more than 30 years without any democratic legitimacy on the part of the population, must resign immediately. With him, the government and the entire political system must be dissolved.
THE IMMEDIATE DISSOLUTION OF THE REPRESSIVE APPARATUS
The immediate dissolution of the entire repressive apparatus, and with it the Revolutionary Guards, the Bassidji, the special and civilian units, and all sub-groups responsible for the violence and death of peaceful people who demand nothing but their basic rights.
STOP VIOLENCE AGAINST PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATORS
The unbridled and unlawful violence against peaceful demonstrators must be stopped immediately.
STOP THE ARBITRARY MASS ARRESTS
The arrest and disappearance of demonstrators as well as women's rights activists, schoolchildren, students, trade union members, media workers
RELEASE OF ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS
All prisoners of the protests, as well as all political prisoners detained in inhumane conditions and subjected to torture and extortion of confessions, must be released immediately.
OUR DEMANDS TO THE EUROPEAN UNION
IMMEDIATE HALT TO NUCLEAR NEGOTIATIONS
Since this state is not representative of the Iranian people, any negotiations with it are illegal. These must be broken off immediately.
NO BUSINESS WITH THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC
In order not to financially support this terrorist state, all business must be stopped immediately, no business with a murderer regime.
FREE AND UNCENSORED INTERNET ACCESS
To cover up mistreatment and murder of the population, the Islamic Republic has shut down the Internet. The people of Iran need free and uncensored Internet access.
FREEZING THE ASSETS OF THOSE IN POWER
Under the Magnitzky Act, all accounts of the Islamic Republic's rulers and their families must be frozen.
ESTABLISHMENT OF A STRIKE FUND FOR WORKERS
The frozen funds are to be used to create a strike fund that will enable workers to go on strike.
